Two very plump and contented pigeons, last seen lurking around the garden, seem to have enjoyed the most delicious Christmas feast of tender broccoli shoots.
Emergency netting has been deployed so the plants may recover and we may still have a chance to enjoy the fruits of my vegetable patch……and to think, only a matter of a week ago, I had been admiring those pesky birds and thinking about painting their portraits!
