Several years ago, when my youngest finally went to school, I thought I too ought to head back and finally learn to paint. These apples were on ‘special offer’ in the supermarket and once in a bowl made a great subject for practising colours and shadows. The painting now hangs in my kitchen opposite the same bowl full of fresh apples.
The theme is clearly one I am drawn to as I later stitched a little beaded apple as a thank you card for one of my son’s teachers. It was just a little one off project but I was quite surprised at how many people have liked the design so I have finally turned it into a little kit just in time for the Knitting & Stitching Show.
