My children have finally gone back to school after a two month summer holiday.
BUT….no time to catch my breath as I have just a matter of weeks before the Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London, 5th to 9th October.

This is probably the biggest show of the year, absolutely jam packed with fabrics, wool, haberdashery and crafty notions as well as showcasing some of the most inspirational textiles from designers, graduates and students.

It really is a wonderful event to spark new ideas, try new crafts or to simply stock up on some really beautiful fabrics and yarns.

Beaded Garden Birds

I am so fortunate to live in a village with ancient woodland and fields to the back of our house and garden….making a real haven for birds. At this time of year their chattering noise is a real fanfare to the onset of spring. Designing beadwork embroideries celebrating these visitors to my garden has been a real pleasure.

I shall be taking them along to the Spring Knitting and Stitching Show at Olympia 3rd to 6th March so if you would like a closer look please come and see us at B68.

The rain has finally stopped, the sun is shining, the snowdrops and primroses are starting to bloom, I have almost finished my new little garden bird beadwork kits and it is time to think about the Spring Knitting and Stitching Show, Olympia, London, 3rd to 6th March.

This is a lovely show, quieter than Ally Pally but with as much to inspire and plenty of opportunities to treat yourself to some new projects for the coming year.

Embroidered Cat Hitching a Lift

I don’t really have the time to type this morning as I have a mountain of embroidery goodies to pack in the car and drive north to Harrogate for the Knitting and Stitching Show, 26th to 29th November.

This rather large embroidered Staffordshire cat cushion is finally finished and he has decided to hitch a lift and join me on stand C530 for the show. His three Staffordshire dog friends are still on embroidery hoops so shall be staying at home but may join us at Olympia in the spring.

Panic !!!!

Mild panic starting to set in !

One of several kitchen tables curently covered in materials for my beadwork kits. Hoping to have all  the mini kits ready this afternoon and then I can start putting together more beady eyed birds…
